Lake Country is acreages, orchards, and lakeview slopes, and each digs its own way. Winfield has the valley-bottom flats and most of the serviced lots. Okanagan Centre and Carr’s Landing drop steeply to the water: the lots are benched and access is rarely simple. Oyama sits on its strip between Wood Lake and Kalamalka Lake, with lakeshore rules on both sides.
Outside the serviced areas, septic is a way of life here, and so are gravel driveways, culverts, and the spring runoff that tests both. Former orchard land has its own quirks: old irrigation lines where no map says they are, and compacted tractor rows under the topsoil. [TODO (crew): confirm the orchard-land details ring true.]
