What’s involved

A tie-in connects your building to the municipal main: one trench, dug to grade, bedded, and backfilled so the line doesn’t settle or shear. Depth, slope, bedding, and compaction all have to meet the municipality’s standards before the trench closes.

We dig for new connections, septic-to-sewer conversions, and failed service lines, and we work with your plumber and the municipal inspector so the trench is open when they need it and closed as soon as they’ve signed off.

Who does the pipe work?

Your plumber or utility contractor makes the connection; we dig, bed, and backfill. On most jobs we coordinate directly with them so you don’t have to relay messages.

Do you locate utilities before digging?

Always. Underground utilities get located before any dig: BC 1 Call is free, and it protects your gas, power, and fibre services. No locates, no dig.

How disruptive is a tie-in?

A service trench usually opens and closes within a few days. We keep access workable and put the site back together: grade, gravel, and cleanup are part of the job.
