Vernon ground changes fast. The Bella Vista side is famous for its silt bluffs: silt holds a vertical cut longer than it should, then fails all at once, so trench and bank work there gets planned differently. East Hill and the older central neighbourhoods have mature lots, tight access, and original service lines reaching the age where they fail, which keeps tie-in and replacement trenching steady work. The Foothills and Predator Ridge are newer benchland: engineered grades, rock, and retaining walls.
With Okanagan, Kalamalka, and Swan Lake all in reach, plus the creeks between them, riparian rules show up in Vernon more than people expect. And the rural edges of the North Okanagan still mean acreages: long driveways, culverts, and septic systems.

FAQ
Usually a few days: one trench, dug to the municipality’s standards, closed as soon as the inspector signs off. We coordinate with your plumber so the hole is open exactly as long as it needs to be.
Silt looks stable in a fresh cut and can fail without much warning, so we slope and stage silt digs conservatively. That’s a safety call, not an upsell.
Yes: driveways, culverts, clearing, and septic excavation across the North Okanagan. [TODO (crew): confirm travel radius: Coldstream only, or as far as Armstrong?]
